Friday get back to being warm and muggy with some showers and storms developing in the morning hours.
"We will have another round of showers and thunderstorms today as the upper-level low moves just north of Louisiana and the surface low sits over Northern Mississippi," said WWL-TV meteorologist Dave Nussbaum. "They will help to set off the storms and we could still have some heavy rain."
More sunshine is expected for the weekend. It should be summer-like with temperatures back in the lower 90s.
