How much time do you think you spend commuting? A new study finds we spend more than a couple of days each year doing it.
"Eleven-hundred dollars in 2017 that auto commuters lost in New Orleans is both in wasted fuel, and in wasted time," Eisele explained.
He suggests we rethink how often we get behind the wheel.
"We can all think about what's the purpose of my trip, 'do I really need to take this trip,'" said Eisele, "'Can I work with my employer to look at flex-timing?'"
And mass transit and carpooling are also ways to reduce the amount of cars on the road.
