Weekend gunfire keeps NOPD busy

New Orleans Police investigators are being kept busy by shooting incidents which took place Saturday and today. 

The first shooting happened Saturday afternoon with a 38-year-old man being shot multiple times at the Best Way Inn and Suites near Chef Menteur and Downman Road in New Orleans East.   

Another incident occurred in the East as The Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate reported a shooting victim arrived a hospital and indicated he was shot near Hayne and Dorsett. 

Meanwhile an 18-year-old shooting victim told police he was shot while driving by a man in a passing vehicle.  No other information is known about this incident. 

Then, around 3:15am Sunday morning, a 14-year-old boy was shot near the intersection of St. Roch and Johnson Street, near the Our Lady Star of the Sea and St. Roch Park. 

 "Victim heard gunshots and realized he had been shot. Victim transported via EMS to local hospital," the paper reported. 

The condition of the juvenile is not reported.
