Weekend looks warm and humid and storms a possibility

Cover Image

Sunshine today with temperatures in the upper 80s, but look for some spotty showers to pop up with the possibility of storms for the weekend.  Sunday is a better possibility for rain.

"Spotty showers will be few and far between, mainly in the afternoon on Saturday, said your local weather expert," WWL-TV meteorologist Dave Nussbaum.  "A weak cold front and trough of low pressure will be northwest of New Orleans on Sunday. It will not move through the area, but it will be close enough to set off scattered showers and thunderstorms."
