With the Philadelphia Eagles coming to town bringing their fan base with them, can we expect to see a busy weekend in New Orleans, when it comes to tourism?

Judging by the last time the Eagles came to town, they travel well and this weekend we should see lots of Eagles fans coming to the city.

Mark Romig, CEO of New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation says he's expecting this to be a very busy weekend because of the game, and attracting a lot of national attention.

"The Saints have that home field advantage for both games, and I would expect with all of the national hype that will occur, people will be talking about New Orleans as a great destination and a great sports weekend and so conceivably, 2 back to back weekends of great experiences for our visitors," Romig said.

Although they don't have any projections in yet on what this weekend will be, as far as hotel occupancy is concerned, he's expecting New Orleans to be hopping.

"It's a late game, in the late afternoon on Sunday, and that means most likely, people will be staying over Sunday night and leaving on Monday, and maybe not even till Tuesday," he added.  "We expect a nice weekend of business for hotels and restaurants."

Speaking of restaurants, Romig says Philadelphia is known for its food as well and he's thinking we'll see a lot of food connoisseurs coming down to try out our culinary expertise along with visiting attractions such as the Audubon Institute and the World War II museum.
