For quarterback Drew Brees, there are no worries.
"Contracts are part of the game," Brees said. "We'll let this play out, but (I'm) confident that there'll be an agreement at some point, and when there does, then he'll be back and we'll be ready to roll."
Defensive end Cam Jordan says he has no reason to be concerned.
"I'm not worried about anything. Until Drew gets worried, I'm not worried," said the Saints' 2018 sack leader. "That's a question for a quarterback, not a defensive end. I just want to hit a quarterback."
Jordan will get his chance to do that in two weeks, Friday, August 9, when the Saints play their first pre-season game against the Minnesota Vikings.
