Super Bowl 53 between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots is this Sunday, but how many people will be tuned in? We asked fans downtown if they're going to watch this year's biggest game. Their answer?
"No I will not," said one Saints fan. "I'll be listening to 2nd line music somewhere downtown near the superdome , hollering 'Who Dat.'"
"Absolutely not," another fan said. "I'm a Saints fans, so we can't give the NFL our money with viewership. I'm hoping to go to the Lie Bowl down at Dat Dog on Magazine."
"Hell no, not today, not ever," laughed this Who Dat. "Until my Saints are in there, it ain't gonna happen."
"Unfortunately no," this woman responded. "Normally I would, but there are hurt feelings, this time. I'll just wear my black and gold proud, as a form of protest."
"I'll be watching the Super Bowl, but we're from out of town," said one tourist with his wife. "I'll be pulling for L.A."
"Absolutely not, sir," said one Saints fan. "There are so many things I choose to do, except watch the Super Bowl. Normally it would be one of the things to do on a Sunday, but not this Sunday."
Should you decide to tune, you can catch the Super Bowl at 5:30 here on WWL.
