New Orleans police are looking for clues after the discovery of a dead woman in the trunk of a car.
The NOPD Public Information Office sent an email about the incident near the intersection of Robin Hood and Will Stutley Drives.
"An unidentified woman was found in the trunk of a silver vehicle."
It was initially recorded as an unclassified death. A short time later police changed the classification.
"The signal for this incident has been changed to a 30-S. Homicide is now in charge of the investigation."
A signal 30-S is the police code for homicide by shooting.
"No additional details are available at this time."
The vehicle was found a short distance from Einstein Charter School and Audubon Louisiana Nature Center.
