After a line of severe weather blew through Sunday night, Monday is looking far less stormy.
"The line of severe thunderstorms is well east of Louisiana this morning. We could have a few showers possible for the morning commute, but overall it will be cloudy and muggy," Dave Nussbaum - WWL-TV Meteorologist forecasts.
He says we will only see scattered showers and thunderstorms today.
"Some of you may not see any rain."
Nussbaum adds though, "Some of the storms could be strong with gusty winds and contain heavy rain."
Today's high temperatures will be around 80°.
Last night's storms knocked out power to thousands in the metro area. A few hundred outages lingered into the morning hours.
Tomorrow looks dry.
"The low will move east of us tonight and it will drag a cold front across SE Louisiana. This will put an end to the rain by Tuesday morning," Nussbaum said. "The clouds will clear, and we will become sunny by Tuesday afternoon. It will be warm, but not as humid as high pressure builds over us. High temperatures will be in the lower 80s."
