A video of New Orleans Saints 2020 first-round draft pick Cesar Ruiz showing off his dance moves in Michigan’s locker room made the rounds on social media Friday.

The video caught the eye of Ruiz’s future quarterback, Drew Brees, who imitated the offensive lineman’s moves in a separate video Brees sent to welcome his new teammate.

How cool is this!!! Right as I’m interviewing new Saints OL Cesar Ruiz a goat crashes our interview. Hi ⁦@drewbrees⁩ Ruiz watched this twice --I expect there will be several more times! pic.twitter.com/75zEs3ll0O

Ruiz said he appreciated the welcome he received from his future quarterback, but that now his focus was on making sure the quarterback didn’t get sacked.

“Coming in and having Drew Brees as my quarterback, it’s important to protect him at all costs,” Ruiz said. “That’s what I’m going to do. That’s what I do and I’m going to keep doing what I do.  Protect him.

“And it means a lot to have a leader like that. Somebody who's been around the game for so long to be able to teach me a lot and sort of mentor me as well.”
