
LSU Skylar Mays and Trendon Watford were announced as members of the All-SEC team Tuesday.
Mays, a senior, earned SEC honors for the second-straight year and was named the SEC’s scholar-athlete of the year. Mays is tied for eighth in the SEC in scoring at 16.7 points a game, fifth in field goal percentage at 49.1 percent, fifth in free throw percentage at 85.4 percent and fourth in the league in steals at 1.8 a game.
Watford was also named to the league’s all-freshman team. Watford averaged 13.6 points a game and led all SEC freshman with 7.2 rebounds per game.
