LSU is now the top team in the College Football Playoff rankings.
After a 46-41 win against the then 3rd-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, LSU which was second in the initial poll last week, earned it's highest ever ranking in the College Football Playoff Poll.
The second set of rankings were released Tuesday night and the 9-0 Tigers were able to leap No. 2 Ohio State, which had the top spot in the first poll. Alabama dropped to No. 5. Clemson came in at No. 3 and Georgia came in at No. 4.
Penn State was No. 4 in the initial rankings and dropped to No. 9 after a loss to Minnesota which climbed to No. 8 in the rankings.
LSU will look to maintain that spot with a win at Ole Miss this Saturday at 6 p.m.
