The NFL draft is just days away and LSU has several players expected to be first-round selections.
Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron said he wouldn't mind seeing one of those players go to the Saints.
"I know I've got a lot of calls from those guys. They definitely love the culture around the program right now," he said. "They like the character about football team. I think that Sean Payton and Mickey (Loomis) have a lot of respect for what we doing here. A lot of the Saints program and culture is going on right here at LSU. So, I think that hopefully you see the first year that a first-round pick from LSU gets to the Saints.
"I'd love to see it. I promise you that."
LSU's Joe Burrow, K'lavon Chaisson, Grant Delpit, Kristian Fulton, Justin Jefferson and Patrick Queen are all projected to be taken in the first-round of this year's draft. The last Tiger to be taken by the Saints in the NFL Draft was offensive lineman Will Clapp. New Orleans selected him in the seventh round of the 2018 draft.
