Payton defends Saints' draft headquarters plan

The New Orleans Saints are planning to conduct the 2020 NFL draft from a boardroom at the Dixie Brewery. That decision drew criticism from several on social media as many believed the optics of the move weren't favorable.

Saints coach Sean Payton defended the Saints plan telling USA Today: “We might have the safest setup in the league for these meetings.”

Payton even shared a photo of the set up.

The NFL closed all team facilities, including the New Orleans Saints’, in order to help slow the spread of Covid-19.

Payton said the Saints have been following CDC guidelines as they try to operate safely out of the new temporary base of operations.
