Saints 34, Colts 7: Brees near perfect in win

Drew Brees became the NFL’s all-time touchdown pass leader Monday night and had a nearly flawless game in the process.

The quarterback finished 29-of-30 for 307 yards and threw four touchdown passes in New Orleans 34-7 win against the Indianapolis Colts.


The Saints moved to 11-3 on the season as Brees threw scores to Michael Thomas, Tre’Quan Smith, Taysom Hill and Josh Hill and finished with the highest completion percentage (96.7) in NFL history.

The third quarter touchdown pass to the tight end Hill was the 540th of Brees career wihich saw him pass Peyton Manning’s record of 539.

Brees also helped Michael Thomas break his own record for receptions in a single season. Thomas caught 12 passes for 128 yards and a score bringing him 133 catches on the year.
