New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead was named the NFC's special teams Player of the Week after his performance in Sunday's 33-27 win against the Seattle Seahawks.
Morstead averaged 54 yards per punt and placed four kicks inside the 20. One of his punts traveled 64 yards and forced Seattle to start a drive at its own 2-yard line and another had the Seahawks start a series at their own 4.
Morstead becomes the second Saints player to win the award this season. Kicker Wil Lutz earned the honor after his game-winning field goal in New Orleans' regular season opener against the Houston Texans.
New York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones was Week 3's top offensive player in the NFC and Green Bay linebacker Preston Smith was named the defensive player of the week.
