Saints trade for linebacker Kiko Alonso

The New Orleans Saints have traded for linebacker Kiko Alonso according to a report from The Times-Picayune’s Herbie Teope.

#Saints are trading for Dolphins LB Kiko Alonso, according to source familiar with situation. Terms not known yet. Alonso is coming off the best season of his career, has started 46 of past 48 games in Miami.This move bolsters depth at LB and gives Saints a plug-and-play LB.

The Saints are sending linebacker Vince Biegel to the Miami Dolphins as part of the deal.

The 6-foot-3, 239-pound Alonso is entering the eighth season of his career and spent the last three in Miami.

He started 15 games for the Dolphins in 2018 and notched 125 tackles, six deflected passes, three interceptions and three forced fumbles.
