Radio can paint fantastic mental images for listeners. One that literally made me laugh out loud was the description of a woman who has been banned from a Texas Walmart.
She was allegedly riding one of the store's electric scooter shopping carts around the parking lot "drinking wine from a Pringles can."
Wow! What a visual!
I can absolutely picture this and it makes me laugh each time I do.
Wine from a Pringles can!
The story below from the Associated Press did not make it clear if the woman slipped a bottle into the Pringles can and was drinking the wine from the bottle or if she actually poured the wine into the can. If it was the latter, I wonder if there were still any Pringles in the can... now mixed with the wine.
Either way, it is hilarious.
A tiny part of me does feel bad for the woman, but a much bigger part just finds this so funny that I can't get the image out of my head.
I am thinking about it way too much, though. We even had a discussion about whether or not a Pringles can could hold liquid for any significant time before the waxy cardboard can would be overcome by the wine and turn into a soggy mess.
Part of me wants to reenact this to find out how the can would hold up.
Did the wine come from a bottle or a box? Why a Pringles can? Was the store out of paper bags?
So many questions...
I better stop.

WOMAN BANNED FROM WALMART WICHITA FALLS, Texas (AP) _ It's one of those stories that makes you wonder about the things some people say goes on at WalMart stores. Police in northern Texas say a woman was banned from a local Walmart after she spent hours driving an electric shopping cart around the store's parking lot _ while drinking wine from a Pringles can. Police tell the Times Record News that officers responded to a report of a suspicious person early Friday at a Walmart in Wichita Falls. A police spokesman says the woman had been tooling around the parking lot in the electric cart for about three hours. Police eventually tracked the woman to a nearby restaurant. She wasn't arrested _ but was told not to return to the store.
