Before the Saints even know who they'll battle in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs, one professional oddsmaker is ready to declare the Saints NFC champs. Brandon Lang, a professional sports handicapper, says, “Make your reservations right now, because there is not a team in the NFC that is going to beat that team (Saints) in New Orleans.”
Whoa! Pretty strong comments. Oddsmakers do this for a living. This is how Brandon Lang provides a lifestyle for his family. What makes Lang so confident in the Saints?
“Nobody has ever been able to beat Sean (Payton) and Drew (Brees) in the playoffs in that building. You can forget about it. I will see you guys in Atlanta,” Lang doubled down on his Saints prediction. The Saints are 5-0 in the Superdome in the post-season under Sean Payton and Drew Brees.
The rest of the NFC, save for maybe Russell Wilson, doesn’t have the experience to topple Brees and the Saints, says Lang.
“Mitch Trubisky isn’t good enough to beat you in that building. It sure as hell isn’t going to be the Eagles. The Rams defense has turned into a complete sieve. Goff’s not good enough to beat them (Saints).”
According to Lang, the only way the Saints lose is if a Hall of Fame quarterback comes out of retirement. “You have to be a Brett Favre to have a chance to beat Drew Brees. You have to be a Hall of Fame quarterback to beat Drew Brees.”
