The NBA insists the league did not threaten to fine the Pelicans $100,000 dollars if the team sat Anthony Davis out for the remainder of the season, following his trade request.  A Pelicans source has confirmed the league's assertions today with WWL Radio.

The source, also said the league simply explained the rules regarding sitting healthy players and the Pelicans are just following rules explained to them by the NBA.

"They were very fair and clear on the rules," the source said.

I know the pace of the decisions surrounding Davis isn't quick enough for the fans and some members of the media.  I've been around the management of the Saints and Pelicans for 10 years now, their top level management is not going to sit idle while this soap opera unfolds.  I get the sense the Pelicans are going to make aggressive moves soon.

The Pelicans play the Thunder tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. CT in the Smoothie King Center.
