When the Rams lost to the Saints back in November, comments from Coach Sean Payton’s postgame got under the skin of Rams defensive back Marcus Peters. Payton pointed out that the Saints liked the one on one match up with Peters covering Mike Thomas, after Thomas burned Peters for a 72 yard touchdown. Payton said, “We liked that match up, we liked it a lot.”
In the Rams locker room following the game, Peters chirped back at Payton saying “Tell Sean Payton to keep talking that sh#%, we are going to see him soon. When we see him again we’ll have a nice bowl of gumbo.” Today Peter’s tweeted, “It’s gumbo week, let’s eat.”
Peter’s quickly deleted the tweet after posting.
