Over 7,000 teams started their season with their eyes on the prize…a championship…during the Little League World Series tournament in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  Every participant was a victor.  Every team a winner.  And, the sum total of all the experience - life altering!

In competition, however, there is only one champion.  The champion in this case...the parents, coaches…and, of course, the boys who make up the team called the East Bank Little League from River Ridge, Louisiana. Each of them…all of them…had to believe, commit and execute to bring us to this victory.

In the post-championship interview Coach Scott Frazier said, “I have not been able to process what we have accomplished.”  Well, coach, let me try to sum it up.  4-0 in the Regionals, first Louisiana team to win a U.S. Championship…from the loser’s bracket nonetheless... and finally, the Little League World Series Champions!  The tangibles are easy to quantify.  Once you have time to reflect, I am confident you will discover the intangibles will reveal themselves for a lifetime.

Congrats to everyone who played a role in this incredible accomplishment.  We are all Louisiana proud!
