The New Orleans Saints are favored by 8.5 points in the NFL divisional playoff against the Philadelphia Eagles at home in the Superdome. The Saints crushed the Eagles in November 48-7 in New Orleans before a ravenous hometown crowd. The Black & Gold won’t win by forty one points again, that’s an easy prediction to make. However, the Cajun Cannon Bobby Hebert still feels very good about the matchup with Philly. “Look at the Eagles’ secondary; that’s why the only hope they have is getting pressure on Drew Brees.”With a depleted secondary the Eagles will have to rely on their front four to get that pressure on Brees. Early on Hebert expects a close game, with the Saints getting close to covering that 8.5 point spread sometime in the second half. “The Eagles have a little mojo going right now, but I think eventually in the second half the energy from the Who Dat Nation and the crowd along with the play of the Saints will overtake them,” said Hebert.Keep in mind the Eagles have played five of their last six games on the road, making this week’s match up against the Saints the third straight game away from Philly. The Eagles are a different football team, that’s for sure. Are they potent enough to beat the Saints in the toughest stadium in the league? We’ll find out the stuff they’re made of Sunday. Will it be enough? Doubt it.
