LISTEN: Kim Mulkey on winning a 3rd National Title at Baylor

We watched her greatness begin in-state, and Kim Mulkey continues to be at the top of her game.  She was an All-American point guard at Louisiana Tech, where she won 2 national championships as a player. The Mulkey would become an assistant coach at LA Tech in 1985 where she was later promoted to associate head coach in 1996.  In 2000, she got a shot at being a head coach taking over a Baylor program that finished the previous season 7-20; which was last in the Big 12.

In year one of leading the Lady Bears, Mulkey guided them to their first ever NCAA tournament bid and have never looked back. Baylor just won their 3rd National Championship beating Notre Dame 82-81 Sunday night. The victory puts Mulkey in an ultra-exclusive club. She joined Connecticut’s Geno Auriemma and former Tennessee coach Pat Summitt as the only women's basketball coaches to have at least three national championships.

Why is Kramer Robertson face timing Kim Mulkey after her team won the national championship? Odd. #LSU pic.twitter.com/pxk9Zw1i3A

Such an emotional & touching moment between Coach Kim Mulkey and Lauren Cox’s mother after the @BaylorWBB took home the title! I feel so honored to gotten to cover this tournament and even more so to have gotten to witness greatness in person! #ttt #ncaaw #wfinalfour #SicEmBears pic.twitter.com/dKe0VcHknF
