Tick tock, tick tock. The Pelicans know time is running out for teams to acquire All-Star Anthony Davis as the NBA trade deadline is at 2pm CT.

February 7, 2019 The LA Lakers have shown interest in acquiring the 25 year-old, but disengaged in trade talks with New Orleans since they were reportedly frustrated with the Pels outrageous demands. ESPN senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted earlier today that there has been nothing new going on between the 2 sides.
Nearly 3 hours away from the NBA's trade deadline and ... the Lakers-Pelicans talks on Anthony Davis are dormant, league sources tell ESPN. No communication, nor an expectation that they'll even speak today. Pelicans seem content to run out the clock.

February 7, 2019 If Davis remains with the Pelicans, the next big question is will he play again for New Orleans this year? AD has recovered from a finger injury, but has been held out of the last 2 games. The Pels may opt to sit him for the reminder of this season to not risk their asset from sustaining an injury before he can be dealt in the summer.
