Sean Payton has looked at the top of his game this year in the face of much adversity. The Saints head coach has guided his team to an 8-2 record having to constantly shuffle his game plan, and a roster that’s sustained winning despite a slew of injuries.
The Pat Macafee Show talked to Demario Davis about what it’s like having Payton as your head coach.
“Sean is by far on of the greatest leaders I’ve ever been around,” said the Saints linebacker. “Just his presence commands respect.”

— Pat McAfee (@PatMcAfeeShow) November 18, 2019Davis goes on describe his head coach as a man who is constantly thinking. “There’s never a situation in a game that we’re not prepared for because he goes over those situations over and over and over,” said Davis, then laughed.
“The funniest thing I’ve seen, from praising him on as an offensive coach. The plays that they (opponents) score on offense, we watched those plays, practiced those exact same plays, and they happened the same way in practice. It’s almost like he can predict the future. He’s been one of the greatest people I’ve been around to tell you the truth.”
