The New Orleans Saints announced Tuesday afternoon they'd agreed to a one-year contract with the former Tampa Buccaneers quarterback.

He spent the past 5 seasons with NFC South-rival, Tampa Bay where he completed 61 percent of his passes for 19,737 yards, 121 touchdowns and 88 interceptions in 72 games. The 26-year-old has also rushed for 1,044 and 10 more TDs.
The Alabama native posted career-highs of 5,109 yards, 33 touchdowns and 380 completions in 2019. Winston became just the eighth passer to reach 5,000 yards as led the NFL in passing yards last season. His yardage was the eighth-highest total in league history.
New of the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner's signing became offically just two days after the Saints gave backup quarterback Taysom Hill a two-year contract extension and drafted Mississippi State quarterback Tommy Stevens in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
