Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee/ankle), TE Jared Cook (ankle), CB Patrick Robinson (hamstring), WR Tre’Quan Smith (ankle) and S J.T. Gray (ankle) all did not practice on Wednesday.
Limited were QB Drew Brees (thumb) and corner Eli Apple (knee). I did not get to see Brees throw at all as the Saints were doing special teams work during the media’s viewing portion of practice. But, when talking to the quarterback in the locker room, his plan is to play Sunday against Arizona. Brees’ thumb is not fully healed yet, but is he dealing with any pain?
“No, not at this point;” Brees responded. “It's really just strength and stability.”
More positive news on the Black & Gold's injury front. DE Trey Hendrickson was a full-go for the first time since suffering a neck injury in week 4.
The Saints have also added 4 players. LB Stephone Anthony is back on the active roster, along with new CB Johnson Bademosi. TE Jason Vander Laan and S Trae Elston are now on the practice squad.
