When the NFL schedule first came out, the final two games of the regular season posed potential weather issues for the Saints since both are on the road in open air stadiums in December. But, at least the Black & Gold are heading to a place like Nashville in week 16, not Chicago.

The forecast for Sunday against Tennessee has a 40% chance of rain with temperatures set to be in the 50s with 5-10mph winds. The stadium sits right off the Cumberland River though, so that could provide an added chill in the air for the noon kickoff.
The field itself is made out of Tifsport Bermuda Sod, which is natural grass and boasts a sophisticated field irrigation and drainage system. Saints head coach Sean Payton talked about the team ready for the potential of less than perfect conditions.
“A steady rain can be challenging, but the wind becomes more of an issue than sometimes a light rain,” explained Payton. “But, we kind-of cover all of that.”
The Saints are 11-3 on the season and 5-1 away. The loss was week 2 at the LA Rams when Drew Bress got hurt and Cam Jordan got robbed by a whistle happy ref.
