It’s unclear just how much Sheldon Rankins will play on Sunday night football, but multiple reports are saying the Saints defensive tackle will make be 2019 debut against the Dallas Cowboys.
Barring a setback in pre-game warmups, #Saints DT Sheldon Rankins (Achilles) is expected to make his season debut against the #Cowboys. A potential big lift for the defense.

September 29, 2019 Rankins tore his Achilles in the divisional round of the playoffs a little over 8 months ago and avoided having to be placed on the physically unable to perform list to start the season. He was limited all week in practice and on Friday's final injury report he was considered questionable. There doesn’t seem to be a question though that the Fleur-Di-Lis D will have a vital piece back for week 4.
Last season, Rankins finished with a career high 8 sacks, 40 combined tackles, 15 hits on the QB and 12 tackles for loss. The 25 year old was the 12th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft.
