Former Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma is changing television teams. The NY Post has learned that he is leaving ESPN/ABC for Fox Sports. Vilma had been working as a studio analyst but is expected to be paired-up with Kenny Albert in the broadcast booth replacing Ronde Barber.
Vilma has had success wherever he’s been. He won a national championship with the Miami Hurricanes in 2001 and went on to be a 1st round pick of the Jets, winning defensive rookie of the year in 2004.
New Orleans sent a 2008 fourth-round draft pick along with a conditional 2009 pick to New York to acquire Vilma. He would spend 5 seasons in Black and Gold; becoming a favorite of the Who Dat Nation and will be remembered forever as a member of the 2009 Super Bowl squad.
