Saturday morning roster addition for the Black & Gold. According to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Saints are signing defensive end Anthony Lanier.

Lanier came into the league in 2016 as an undrafted free agent out of Alabama A&M. He recently spent time on the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers practice squads. The 6ft6, 260 pound 27-year-old has seen regular season action with the Washingon football team, managing 5 sacks in 11 games in 2017.
As far as injuries up front for the Saints; DT Jalen Dalton suffered a season ending triceps injury, while DE Marcus Davenport has missed the last two practices for unknown reasons.
