Chickillo was limited by injuries a year ago, playing in 11 games and recording nineteen combined tackles with half a sack. He did spend a week on the Commissioner's Exempt List in October, but ultimately had charges dropped in regards to a domestic dispute with his girlfriend.

The former 2015 sixth-round pick has played in 65 games with the Steelers; mostly used in a reserve role. Most of Chickillo's contributions came on special teams.
