The last time the Saints won a game in week one of the season, “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell was the #1 song on the radio.

Hard to believe that the Black & Gold last came away with a win in a season opener all the way back in 2013.

“We tried to look at a handful of things,” said head coach Sean Payton. “Obviously, two or three times in a row was one thing. The routine this week has changed practice wise; kind of look at the daily schedule from the last roster cut down until the game on Monday.”

The Saints aim to snap that skid Monday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome against the Houston Texans.  Houston has never won a game in New Orleans and the all-time series is knotted up 2-2.  What exactly is the Black & Gold doing to mix things up this year?

“You're projecting like, this is something we should do different,” answered Payton. “Specifically, I'm not going to cover what we've looked at or how we're making the change. Certainly we're not going to just repeat the calendar schedule from the last few years.”
