Two big losses in the trenches for the Saints. The team has put defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins and defensive end Marcus Davenport on the injured reserve list. Rankins has an ankle issue, Davenport a foot.
Along with adding defensive end Noah Spence for depth, the Saints have also inked a defensive tackle.

McGill first joined the NFL an undrafted free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 2015, then spent time with the Indianapolis Colts, Cleveland Browns, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins. He’s appeared in 37 games in his career, and has 5 sacks with 17 QB hits and 7 tackles for loss.
David Onyemata and Maclolm Brown are the Saints primary DTs. Undrafted rookie Shy Tuttle has also been making ths most of the snaps he's been getting and could see an increase in playing time. Mario Edwards Jr. also has the verstility to slide inside.
