Saints put Kiko Alonso and Johnson Bademosi on PUP

With players undergoing physicals this weekend, Kiko Alonso and Johnson Bademosi have landed on the physically unable to perform list for the Saints.

Alonso is coming off a torn ACL, suffered during the playoff loss to the Minnesota Vikings in early January. Putting the linebacker on the PUP means he won't be available to start camp but could still join the team in time for the regular season.

It was the 29-year-olds third major ACL injury of his football career. Before the 2019 season, Alonso was traded to New Orleans with two-years remaining on his four-year deal and is set to make $7.8 million in 2020.

Bademosi joined the team last season before week 8 against the Arizona Cardinals.  A foot injury caused the cornerback to finsih the year on injured reserve. The 29-year old had one special teams tackle in the 6 games he appeared in.

Positive news about Saints players COVID testing. Noone has come up positive in the intial wave of testing as players finally get to make their way inside the facility to begin strength and conditioning on Monday.
