While taking roll call Monday morning at Saints training camp, wide receiver Cameron Meredith was one of the players not seen on the field. Sources confirmed Nola.com writer Herbie Teope's report that the 26 year old was released by the team.

July 29, 2019 Meredith tore his ACL in a preseason game while a member of the Chicago Bears in 2017. The Saints signed the restricted free agent to a $9.5 million offer last offseason, but he agreed to reduce his base salary from $3.4 million to $1.3 million back in March. Meredith appeared in just 6 games for the Saints, making 9 catches for 114 yards and 1 touchdown.
