The Saints were still in the spirit of giving after Christmas. Defensive end Alex Okafor came up just short of an on the field bonus, but the team decided to reward him anyway. He will receive $400,000 despite coming up just one sack shy sack of the incentive in his contract.
"The Saints have always done right by me and I gotta make sure hold up my end," said Okafor. "Give all I got this post season."
This season, the 27 year old finished with 35 tackles, nine quarterback hits, and four sacks. Okafor got nicked up in Sunday's loss after suffering a hyperextension, but fully expects to be ready to play after the Saints bye following this weekend which is the Wild Card Round in the NFL.
