Saquan Hampton is the latest member of the Saints to land on injured reserve. The safety was a 6th round pick out of Rutgers and mainly a special team’s contributor in the 5 games he played in his 1st NFL season. He missed some time in training camp due to a hamstring injury and is now the 9th Saints to be put on IR.
His roster spot gets filled by Janoris Jenkins, who the team claimed off waivers. The NY Giants released the cornerback who has 4 interceptions this season. New Orleans picks up the $1.19 million left on the 31 year old’s contract for 2019, that carries an $11.25 million option for next year.
