The Saints invested a 2016 4th round pick in David Onyemata, and don’t want to watch him bloom elsewhere. He’s agreed to an extension to remain in Black & Gold after recording 32 tackles with 3 sacks, 3 tackles for loss, and 11 hits on the quarterback a year ago.

Got some unfinished business to handle --

The scouting department saw someone they could mold in the 6ft4, 300 pound defensive tackle. they saw a project playing for the University of Manitoba in Canada who had just learned the game of American football coming from Nigeria.

Onyemata’s power has always stood out though. He has racked up 7.5 sacks the past 2 seasons with 17 hits on the QB.
