Myles Garrett broke the rules of “Fight Club” on Thursday Night football using his opponent’s helmet as a weapon. The Browns defensive tackle was able to smack Mason Rudolph in the mug and amazingly the Steelers QB escaped serious harm.

Fight breaks out at the end of the Browns win over the Steelers that includes Cleveland DE Myles Garrett grabbing the helmet off of Pittsburgh QB Mason Rudolph and then hitting him in the head with it. Ugly situation. pic.twitter.com/Hz4RHuMcAo

Saints All-Pro Cameron Jordan understands Garrett’s anger to an extent since Rudolph was the antagonizer.

This narrative a lil far fetched... how bout qb starts brawl, tried to rip off DE’s helmet, whom then gets jumped by OL and swings erratically? https://t.co/OYjEzO6xAI

Can’t justify what Myles did but to put the entire blame on Myles... explain normal wrap up normal take down qb loses his mind... continue https://t.co/YtwcvFvPbM

Former Saints offensive lineman Kyle Turley knows about ripping helmets off. He tossed Damien Robinson's Jets helmet down the field back in 2001. Turley tweeted that players on Pittsburgh arent angels in this either.

The @steelers OLine accept @MaurkicePouncey should be suspended w/ @MylesLGarrett its football and CTE good decisions aren’t an option! ----

The temperament on social media quickly escalated to how many games Garrett should be banned from playing. It didn’t take long for the angry mob to hand out a lifetime suspension for the 23 year old. Saints running back Alvin Kamara seemed to tweet a response to the extreme take of some NFL fans and analysts.

They love you... they hate you... they love you... they hate you. ----‍♂️

The league has put out a statement saying that the Steelers and Browns organizations have each been fined $250,000.  Also, that the Browns Myles Garrett, Larry Ogunjobi and the Steelers Maurkice Pouncey have been suspended without pay.

Garrett is out indefinitely, with the minimum being for the remainder of the regular season and postseason. Pouncey got a three game ban, while Ogunjobi will have to sit out one.
