How does the Pelcians top overall pick feel that his first season in the NBA is going so far?

"I think its going alright," Zion responded at the Rising Stars media day press conference.  "Me and my teammates just trying to compete for that playoff spot.

The Pels are in 11th place in the West at the break, 5.5 games out of the 8th and final postseason spot in the conference. Williamson has made an immediate impact in New Orleans, averaging averaging 22 points and 8 rebounds while shooting 58% from the field in the 10 games he's played in following knee surgery. Does he think that he could make a run at being the rookie of the year despite missing the first 45 games.

"I'm not sure to be honest. I'm not really thinking about it. All I'm thinking about is helping my team get to the playoffs."
