I don't know how it got this way. Maybe it was inevitable. But the reaction to the coronavirus has been political. Some have been criticizing the government's response at the local, state, and national level because they don't think the coronavirus is a big deal. Others are rushing out and buying up tons of stuff like toilet paper, hoarding it instead of letting everybody get what they need.
To borrow and tweak a phrase from (retired) Lieutenant General Russel Honore, people sometimes get stuck on stupid. Now's not that time for that (and there's never a time to get stuck on stupid, let's be honest). We need a united response to this pandemic. Fittingly, I spoke with Lt. Gen. Honore about how we need to respond to this thing.
