In case you missed the story last week, a woman named Tessica Brown went viral after putting Gorilla Glue in her hair instead of a normal hair product. She posted it on TikTok, tried at-home remedies, went to the ER, started a GoFundMe page, and eventually got free surgery from a doctor in California.
The situation was so ridiculous that Saturday Night Live poked fun about it in a fake law firm sketch saying, "FACT: Every day as many as one people fall victim to using Gorilla Glue in place of a beauty product."
They can now add a second person to the list. A 20-year-old Massachusetts girl did the exact same thing. Avani Reyes claims she "accidentally" used the adhesive in her hair. She filmed herself having a panic attack, going to the ER, washing it out with coconut oil, etc.
Unsurprisingly, nothing worked. So, as much as she "didn't want to do this", Avani started a GoFundMe page.
I can't believe I even need to say this, but please don't try this at home. *eyeroll emoji*
