After years of hard work and perseverance, Lainey Wilson has taken the Country music world by storm. The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, GRAMMY-Award-winner and Yellowstone actress has proved there’s nothing she can’t do and while it seems she has it all, she continues to dream even bigger.

“I have dreams now that I didn’t even know that I had,” Wilson said of her current vantage point before sharing no amount of awards or recognition will ever make her feel like she’s “made it.” “At the end of the day, awards are nice and you love that recognition — it’s a gift, I accept it — but I can’t let that be the thing that drives me.”
For Wilson, drive comes from her dreams, and they know no bounds.
“Even when it comes to the acting stuff, I want to dabble in that a little bit more,” she shared. “When I think of the kinds of careers I want to have, I think of Reba and she’s not scared to do all of it.”
Raised in small-town Louisiana, Wilson is excited to expand her reach while also representing her authentic self and being part of a time where “Country’s Cool Again,” which is exactly where she got the inspiration for her newest single.
“It’s so cool to see people love the way that I grew up,” she expressed. “Not even talking about Country music, just the Western way of life. It is really cool to see people wanna wear a cowboy hat and ride a horse.”
While typical “western ways” come to mind when people think of Country music, Lainey shared you don’t have to rope ’n ride to be considered a cowgirl like her. “The thing is, you don’t have to ride a horse to be a cowgirl… it’s about the ones that are holdin’ on and paving the way and celebrating each other.”
