It's classic rock and country music at the 2024 Family Gras in Metairie.
The 16th edition of the weekend festival will take place February 2-4, the "first parade weekend," as it's commonly known.
The festival begins Friday with Cajun fiddle player Amanda Shaw. Zebra, the New Orleans-born rock band, will also play Friday.
Grammy Award-winning artist Amy Grant headlines Saturday, featuring music from her three multi-platinum albums, six platinum albums and four gold albums including her six number one hits.
Classic rockers Cheap Trick will lead into Grant's set. Local artists Mad City and the Creole String Beans are also part of Saturday's lineup.
Family Gras closes out Sunday with Revisiting Credence, featuring Dan McGuinness and Kurt Griffey of Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
The Oak Ridge Boys, on their farewell tour, will perform. So will Tyler Hubbard, formerly of the country duo Florida-Georgia Line.
The event is free to the public, and takes place at Metairie's Mardi Gras Plaza, 3300 Veterans Memorial Blvd. across from Lakeside Shopping Center.
