Super Bowl Sunday finally arrived, but fans had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes before the Eagles and Chiefs actually kicked off.
The Super Bowl was set to begin at 6:30 p.m. ET but after the pomp and circumstance of all the pregame festivities, FOX and the NFL were not done just yet.

As the two teams came out for the coin toss, there was a very long introduction to recognize the honorary captains in what felt like an ad for the military. But once that was done, the game would start, right?
Nope.
Next, they needed a hype video for the game after the coin toss — as if the two weeks waiting for this game to start was not enough.
Once the hype video was over, the attention turned to the field — where former Super Bowl MVP Doug Williams presented the Lombardi Trophy and other former players were recognized. Why we need someone to present the Lombardi Trophy before the game is anyone's guess.
Finally, the PA announcer declared that Super Bowl LVII will start, but not before much exhaustion and impatience many tuning into the game were experiencing.
A quick glance at Twitter in these moments captured that impatience and showed fans mocking and roasting the league for the delayed start to the game.
