The new Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport held an open house Thursday to give people a look at what's in store when the massive, billion-dollar facility opens November 6. It will give the public another sneak-peak at an open house on Saturday.
With just under two weeks until flights begin leaving and arriving across the airfield from the current terminal, most of the airport and its ticketing and concession areas are ready to go, with a few others nearing completion.
Finishing touches are still being put on a some of the airport's features, most notably the consolidated security checkpoint, where a handful of lanes appeared complete.
