The 50th annual Greasing of the Poles took place on Friday(Feb. 21) in front of the Royal Sonesta Hotel on 300 Bourbon St. The festivities, hosted by actor Bryan Batt, kicked off with Leroy Jones' Original Hurricane Brass Band. The contestants greasing the French Quarter poles were "Southern Charm New Orleans" star Reagan Charleston Thomas, WGNO TV reporter Kenny Lopez, drag queen Lana O'Day, and singer/musician Amanda Shaw.
This year's winner for the best greasing was Kenny Lopez.
