Tulane University didn't have to look too far to find its football team's new head coach.

According to multiple reports, including by our partners at NOLA.com, Tulane will promote pass game coordinator Will Hall to the head coaching position that soon will be vacated by Jon Sumrall. Sumrall is leaving Uptown to take the head coaching post at the University of Florida.

Hall has previous head coaching experience. He led West Alabama and West Georgia to two appearances each in the NCAA Division II playoff tournament. At Southern Miss, he led the Golden Eagles to a victory in the Lending Tree Bowl in his first season as coach.

Hall's overall record as a head coach is 70-50 overall and 14-30 in the FBS.
